Meet the team
Founder and Director - Laura Higgins FCG
Laura has over 20 years experience of operating in a variety of Company Secretary roles for FTSE100 and FTSE250 organisations, most recently as Group Company Secretary at Elementis plc (FTSE250). During her career, Laura gained a wealth of experience in the boardroom and has served as a trusted adviser to boards and executive management teams. She has been recognised as a Governance Hot100 winner (Board influencer category) and carries out bespoke training for the Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland on a range of governance related topics.
Laura is a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland, an Associate member of the Institute of Directors (UK) and serves as an active mentor for the Women's Chartered Governance Association.
Laura graduated from the University of Glamorgan with a BA (Hons) Law and Legal Studies with History and obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law.
Laura holds a Bronze level certification in Coaching for Performance.
Consultant - Terri Le Couteur FCG, MSc
Terri is a highly experienced governance and company secretarial professional with a distinguished career spanning over 30 years.
Terri is a recognised expert in corporate governance, compliance, and board dynamics with the ability to equip boards, executives, and governance professionals with the tools and knowledge to excel in regulatory compliance, risk management, and effective governance practices. Renowned for delivering practical, insightful, and impactful training, Terri helps organisations enhance their governance frameworks and leadership effectiveness.
Terri has over 30 years’ experience working in financial services organisations in the UK, Jersey, Guernsey, the Cayman, BVI and Ireland with sector expertise within Banking, Funds (private equity, infrastructure, real estate, debt), Trust and Private Wealth and listed entities both in the UK (AIM and full market) and other jurisdictions.
Terri has acted in various governance roles including as named Company Secretary of vehicles including a leading bank and fund administrator, as Director on several client vehicles with both global leading and small firms and has acted in an advisory capacity to regulatory and professional bodies.
Terri is a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute and holds an MSc in Corporate Governance.
